【外国人ビザ】Want to know more about visa?

I’m Nakajima, in charge of an applying for “Relationship-based VISA”.

Status of residence for foreigners.
Do you want to know what kind of status of residence you have?
There are actually different types. There are two main types.
This can be broadly divided into what is called a work visa and relationship or residence visa.
A work visa is a status of residence to work in Japan.
Relationship or residence visa is a status for living with family in Japan.

I think that many people are not familiar with even if they are said to have a relationship (residential) visa, so today
I will focus on this.

This is a qualification called a relationship-based (resident) visa.
Permanent Resident, Spouse or Child of Japanese, Spouse or Child of Permanent Resident, Long Term Resident, Special Permanent Resident

Have you heard anything?
All of them are premised on activities as individuals with status and relationship, so the range of work activities is unlimited.

Let's take a look at each feature!
・Permanent Resident : can live a stable life in Japan. There is no expiration date.
In principle, people who have lived in Japan for 10 years or more can apply.
・Special Permanent Resident: South Koreans, North Koreans, Taiwanese and their           descendants who continue to live in Japan since before World War II. There is no            expiration date.
・Spouse or Child of Japanese: Spouse of Japanese, Special adopted child of Japanese,
or person born as a child of Japanese. There is a period of stay.
・Spouse or Child of a Permanent Resident: Spouse of a Permanent Resident, a person
born in Japan as a child of Permanent Resident or a Special Permanent Resident.
There is a period of stay.
・Long Term Resident: Those who are allowed to reside for special reasons.
A child of a permanent resident who was born outside Japan, a person who has a
status of “Spouse or Child of Japanese” and has been divorced. There is a period           of
stay.

Did you find a difference?
First of all, I would appreciate it if you could know what kind of status of residence there are and use it as a reference for future.
In any case, applying for status of residence is difficult.
If you want to invite your family to Japan, are considering changing your status of residence etc., please consult a Certified Administrative Procedures Legal Specialists to prepare properly.
We will guide you through complicated procedures that are difficult to understand.

Thank you for reading.
