Hello. I'm Nakajima, in charge of Applying for Relationship-based VISA.
If you are going to apply for Naturalization, there are some materials which is very important to prepare for the documentation, even if the Legal Affairs Bureau does not request to.
They are “Entry/departure records” and “Disclosure of certification of information recorded on foreign resident registration file.”
“Entry/departure records” is, as its name suggests, a record of your entries and departures. It is effective when you do not have your old passports or when you frequently depart from and reenter Japan.
“Disclosure of certification of information recorded on foreign resident registration file” is a record of the foreign national’s residential status which was kept in local municipalities before the new immigration management system was started on the 9th of July 2012.
These 2 documentations are effective when you fill the required documents.
