Hello. I'm Nakajima, in charge of Applying for Relationship-based VISA.
Do you know there is a special measure for newborn babies who was born from January 31st to June 30th, 2020?
This measure is released in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Let’s see the details!
The newborn babies who do not have Japanese nationality and who are going to stay in Japan for more than 60 days must obtain Visa.
Normally, the parents must apply for the baby’s visa in 30 days and obtain Visa in 60 days from the birth.
However, for babies who was born from January 31st to June 30th, 2020, this application period is extended to 3months from the birth.
