Hello. I'm Nakajima, in charge of Applying for Relationship-based VISA.
As you know, “the Immigration Bureau” is the place where you apply for your visa.
Since it is located all over Japan, I'll post it here.
There are eight main bureaus located nationwide in each region, such as Hokkaido, Tohoku, and the Kanto region.
Hokkaido Region: Sapporo Regional Immigration Bureau
Tohoku Region: Sendai Regional Immigration Bureau
Kanto Region: Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau
Chubu Region: Nagoya Regional Immigration Bureau
Kinki Region: Osaka Regional Immigration Bureau
Chugoku Region: Hiroshima Regional Immigration Bureau
Shikoku Region: Takamatsu Regional Immigration Bureau
Kyushu Region: Fukuoka Regional Immigration Bureau
Each Regional Immigration Bureau has its own branch office.
For example, Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau has;
Mito Branch Office
Utsunomiya Branch Office
Takasaki Branch Office
Saitama Branch Office
Chiba Branch Office
Tachikawa Branch Office
Niigata Branch Office
Kofu Branch Office
Nagano Branch Office
Shinjuku Branch Office
Tobu Branch Office
In some places there is a District Immigration Office between a Regional Immigration Bureau and a Branch Office. For Tokyo,
Yokohama District Immigration Office → Kawasaki Branch Office
You can file your application at any of Regional Immigration Bureau, District Immigration Office, or Branch Offices that that has jurisdiction over your address.
For example, if you live in Chiba, file your application at Chiba Branch Offices or Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau.
If you would like to file by yourself, please find the office that is convenient for you.
(If you are planning to move during the application process, please be careful. You have to receive your new visa where you originally filed. It is not the office which has a jurisdiction over your moving destination)
By the way, Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau is always crowded.
People always have to wait for hours to file, and we, Certified Administrative Procedures Legal Specialist, are also waiting.
If you are planning to file your application in Tokyo, we strongly recommend you not make another appointment on that day.
If you look at the organization chart, you may find Higashi-Nihon Immigration Center and Omura Immigration Center. Please note that these are only facilities for detaining people such as overstays and cannot file your visa application.
In the process of applying visa, you must go to Immigration Bureau at least twice at the time of filing and permission.
If you request us, Certified Administrative Procedures Legal Specialists, we can file your application and receive your visa on your behalf, so you do not need to go to Immigration Bureau.
If you are too busy to go to the Immigration Bureau on their own, or do not want to wait for hours, please contact us, a Certified Administrative Procedures Legal Specialists and save your time.
Thank you for reading.
