In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Immigration Bureau decided to extend the expiry date for 3 months.
This special case is applied to those who visit Japan as a temporary visitor and the newborn child who was born in Japan.
The Immigration Bureau accepts the renewal application from 3 months before the expiry date, but to prevent the COVID-19 spread, please try not to apply earlier if you do not have specific reasons.
The Immigration Bureau is always crowded.
Tokyo Immigration Bureau have restricted the entry and we must wait outside until they permit.
